With spring just around the corner, I am counting down the days to our annual family reunion, which always includes a flag football game. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the tradition, and while our DIY “jerseys” (old T-shirts labeled with paint and markers) have served us well, they’ve definitely seen better days. As someone who has their own print on demand shop, I was tasked with the job of finding a website to get new, more professional jerseys printed. We needed quality jerseys, a wide size range, and fast turnaround.
Whether you’re outfitting a team, designing matching jerseys for your next group outing, or you just want to show pride for your local team, you need to find the best website for custom jerseys that suit your needs. I looked at everything from styles and customization options to the small touches that set each company apart.
After testing the waters for our family’s jerseys, here’s my rundown of the five best websites for custom jerseys.
Custom Jerseys at a Glance
- Best overall: BlueCotton
- Best for all over prints: Printful
- Best selection of jerseys available: Custom Ink
- Best size inclusive options: Printful
- Best customer service: BlueCotton
- Best turnaround time: BlueCotton
How I Chose These Sites
- They all have customer reviews.
- They have transparent pricing available on the website.
- They have dependable production times.
BlueCotton

What first drew me to BlueCotton was the fact that I could order custom screen printed shirts in small batches, starting at only six items. I really like that they offer printed samples, and quality check every order (by a real human!)
The design interface was easy to use, with Order Builder if you have your design ready to upload, or Design Studio if you need help to create your design. There were so many options to help me get it right.
My favorite feature on BlueCotton’s website might actually be their customer service. The issue that frustrates me the most when making purchases online is not being able to get in touch with someone to ask questions when they arise. BlueCotton’s customer service is actually human, which seems like a rarity now with AI chat bots on most websites. No need for endless emails back and forth, as they actually have a phone number to call for customer support. The customer support options, including chat and email support, were easy to find, on every page of the website.
When it comes to jersey printing, there is only one traditional jersey style available, (the Augusta Double Sleeve Stripe Jersey). However, there are a variety of raglan style t-shirts and polos, many which offer embroidery as well as screen printing.
An added bonus is their 10 business day guarantee for shipping in the 48 contiguous states. If you need your order even sooner, there are several rush options available.
The Breakdown:

Price Range | Starting at $39.50 per jersey for front print. Adding a design on the back is an additional cost. |

Sizes Available | Sizes range from adult small to 2XL. Youth sized from small to large. |

What sets them apart? | Real human customer service, design checks and guaranteed ship by dates as well as several rush delivery options. |
Printify

I know Printify is an extremely popular site among print on demand sellers but, how do they hold up for jerseys and small bulk orders? I did some digging. One thing that I think makes Printify stand out is the variety of sports jerseys that are AOP (all over print), which means better customization when it comes to color! I love having this freedom of customization, since I am a designer, I can let my creativity soar. Even if you are not a seasoned designer, there are downloadable templates that make it easy to create your design in an editing program like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
There are a few major drawbacks with Printify. If you are not familiar with illustration or editing software, it may be difficult to design your all over print file yourself. There isn’t a comprehensive design studio and they do not offer options to help you create the design.
Customer service can also take some time, since it involves emailing back and forth. The customer support options are hard to find, as I found myself thrown in a log in loop, trying to get to their customer support chat.
Printify also has a slower processing time and standard shipping, no rush orders available. If you are in a hurry to get your jersey to your door, you may want to check out some of their competitors.
The Breakdown:
Styles | AOP (all over print) Sports Jersey and Basketball Jersey. Baseball and Football jerseys are also available from print providers in China, though the shipping costs increase dramatically. |
Minimum | No minimum. No jerseys have bulk discounts available. |
Colors | The AOP style means that your design is printed over the entire jersey. |
Price Range | Starting at $25.76 per jersey. Price increases at 2XL sizes. |
Shipping | Both have an average production time of 4 business days and standard shipping options with a delivery of 7-10 business days, starting at $6.09 in the USA. $16.99 for Canada and $19.99 everywhere else in the world, and shipping takes longer. |
Sizes Available | Adult sizes XS to 2XL. AOP Men’s Sports Jersey available up to 4XL. |
Quality | 100% moisture-wicking polyester and a vibrant color print. |
Customization | AOP means you can choose pretty much any color. No embroidery available. |
What sets them apart? | Fast processing times. |
Printful

Like Printify, Printful is very popular in the print on demand world, but what sets their site ahead of Printify is their variety of jerseys available. Not only are their jerseys AOP for full customization, they are also more size inclusive, going up to 6XL for the majority of their jerseys. I can see the customer ratings right on the website, so I know what to expect before I order.
Printful also has fulfillment centers in several different countries to offer very competitive shipping rates. Their processing time is typically 2 – 5 business days on average but, like Printify, no rush order is available on jerseys. Unfortunately, as with Printify, their customer service is not up to my standards. When I had any questions, I had to start with a chatbot or send them a message through the website.
As far as designing my jersey, they have templates to use as well as “Quick Designs” available. I find using their design templates useful if you are unable to create your own. Their prints have always been top notch, so for anyone looking for vibrant jerseys, they are the best for all over prints.
The Breakdown:
Styles | AOP Recycled Unisex Sports Jersey, Hockey, and Basketball Jersey. |
Minimum | No minimum. Bulk discounts available on the AOP Recycled Unisex Sports Jersey. |
Colors | The AOP (all over print) style means that your design is printed over the entire jersey. Printful is known to have more vibrant colors when printed. |
Price Range | Starting at $23.37 per jersey. Price increases at 2XL sizes. |
Shipping | Standard shipping in the USA is $4.49 with a delivery of 7-10 business days. Canada at $6.99 for 12 business days. The UK is $4.39 for 5-6 business days. Other locations around the world range from $4.59 – $11.99 with a delivery of 9 to up to 29 business days, depending on the country. |
Sizes Available | Adult sizes XS to 6XL. AOP Men’s Sports Jersey available up to 4XL. |
Quality | 100% recycled polyester (Eco friendly) or 100% polyester. Both with moisture-wicking material. Vibrant prints. |
Customization | AOP means you can choose pretty much any color. No embroidery available. |
What sets them apart? | Vibrant all over prints and size inclusive jerseys. |
Custom Ink

Custom Ink surprised me with how many different jersey styles they have available to customize. Not only would I be set for our family’s flag football game, but it is well suited for basketball, soccer and volleyball too! I was happy to see that their customer service options were easy to find, right on the top of the website, where I can talk to a real person. They have customer ratings on the website to help you make your purchase. I love that I was able to review past customers’ opinions about print quality and how the fabric felt.
They have third party fulfillment centers to print and ship from various locations in the USA, which makes shipping easy, but it also means print quality can be inconsistent. They have a two week guarantee from processing to delivery in the 48 contiguous states. Like with BlueCotton, if you’re working on a deadline and you need to know when your order of jerseys will arrive, Custom Ink is a great option, you just might not get the same quality and consistency.
The Breakdown:
Styles | Wide range of jerseys available, including soccer, football, basketball, volleyball and baseball. There are even pinstripe button up baseball jerseys for a classic look. |
Minimum | No minimum order on most items. Some jerseys require a minimum order of 6 units. The price per item decreases as you order more. |
Colors | Color ranges vary depending on the jersey style. |
Price Range | Starting at $15.60 per jersey for front print. Adding a design on the back is an additional cost. Price increases at 2XL sizes. |
Shipping | Free standard shipping with a 2 week guarantee from processing to delivery in the 48 contiguous states. 1 week rush available for 15% added to the cost of the order. 3 day rush for an additional 30%. International delivery available to most countries, with a minimum order size of 6 items. Contact Custom Ink to learn about delivery options and what products are available in your specific country. |
Sizes Available | Adult sizes XS – 4XL. Youth sizes available for many options. |
Quality | Ranges from 100% cotton for raglan baseball tees to polyester blends and 100% recycled polyester (Eco friendly) with moisture wicking material. |
Customization | Screen printing or direct to garment printing. Front and back printing but you can contact Custom Ink to check if you can add designs on the sleeves. |
What sets them apart? | Large variety of jersey styles available that are also size inclusive. |
Merchize

Merchize is a new-to-me website when it comes to printing jerseys. They do have a good variety of jersey styles to choose from, but it was difficult to figure out the quality of their print before purchase. I was able to order a sample, but had to pay the single unit price, since unlike BlueCotton, you don’t get a free sample to check before your order. Their print is high quality and the design interface was very easy to use. They also have templates to download to help create your own design from scratch.
When comparing Merchize to Printful, BlueCotton, and Custom Ink, it falls short. The website doesn’t have customer reviews on the individual product pages. Their customer service requires some back and forth through chat or messages, but they do have a phone number in Vietnam that to call. However, they are able to process and ship orders relatively fast, even though they are shipped from Vietnam. Free shipping to the USA is also a great incentive.
I find that Merchize is a good option if you are not in a hurry to get your jersey to your door.
The Breakdown:
Styles | Baseball, basketball, football and soccer jerseys. |
Minimum | No minimum order on most items. Offers pricing tiers based on how many units are needed, which brings down the base price of the jersey, if 1,000 or more are needed. |
Colors | Color ranges vary depending on the jersey style. |
Price Range | Starting at $15.25 per jersey. Price increases at 2XL sizes. |
Shipping | Print production is handled and shipped from Vietnam. Free shipping in the USA with standard shipping from 4 – 7 business days. UK shipping ranges from 7 – 9 business days, Canada is from 7 – 12 business days and the EU/Everywhere else is 10 – 15 business days. Processing time is 2 – 4 business days. Pricing ranges from $3.90 – $10.40 depending on the country. |
Sizes Available | Adult sizes XS – 5XL. Youth sizes available for many options. |
Quality | 100% moisture-wicking polyester. |
Customization | AOP baseball, basketball, football and soccer jerseys. Embroidery available on a long sleeve hockey or short sleeve button up baseball jersey. |
What sets them apart? | Large variety of jersey styles available that are also size inclusive. |
The Decision
After comparing these five jersey printing providers, I was able to narrow down to two websites to fit my family’s needs: Printful and BlueCotton. Both have great reputations for quality, but I ultimately chose BlueCotton for our flag football jerseys. Their customer service and rush delivery options really stood out when I compared the two side by side. I kept the design simple, using their Design Studio to include our names and a number printed on each jersey. Now we will look like a professional team for our group photos!
