Does the thought of opening a new job posting fill you with dread? You’re not alone. For many hiring managers and small business owners, what should be an exciting step forward, such as adding someone new to the team, quickly turns into an overwhelming task. The flood of resumes, the time spent screening candidates, the back-and-forth scheduling, and the scattered communication can make the process feel more like a headache than a hiring strategy.
If you’ve ever felt buried under a pile of applications or unsure of how to keep everything organized, it might be time to rethink how you’re managing your recruitment process. That’s where applicant tracking software comes in.
Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software makes the hiring process a lot smoother by keeping everything organized in one place. It helps recruiters manage candidate details, automate repetitive tasks, and stay on top of communication. With an ATS, you can post job openings to multiple job boards, automatically screen resumes based on keywords and qualifications, schedule interviews, and easily keep in touch with applicants—all from one platform.
Wizehire is a very popular ATS system, but it’s not the only one. Today we’re going to cover some of my top Wizehire alternatives.
Wizehire Alternatives at a Glance
- NinjaGig: Budget friendly ATS for small businesses
- ZipRecruiter: AI-powered matching functionality
- ZohoRecruit: Combines ATS and CRM systems
Wizehire
Wizehire is a hiring platform that combines smart software with personal expert guidance, making it easy and stress-free to grow a team.
Wizehire is an easy-to-use and budget-friendly hiring platform that blends smart technology with expert support to make building your team simpler. It helps speed up the hiring process by offering features such as automated resume parsing, candidate ranking, customizable job templates, and built-in video interviews. With a centralized dashboard, keeping track of candidates becomes straightforward, and collaboration tools keep your team on the same page throughout the hiring journey.
What really makes Wizehire stand out are its personality assessments, in-depth analytics, adaptable hiring stages, and useful onboarding tools that help new employees settle in comfortably. Additionally, you get access to live hiring coaches who offer valuable advice to enhance your job postings and attract the best candidates.
On the flip side, the platform has limited options for customizing application forms, the interface feels a bit old, the reporting features are fairly basic, and the mobile experience could be improved. Wizehire is also one of the more pricier platforms.
Besides Wizehire, there are several other applicant tracking systems worth exploring. Let’s take a look at a few of these options now.
Alternatives to Wizehire
NinjaGig
In my opinion, the best alternative to Wizehire is NinjaGig. This ATS platform offers an easy and affordable way for companies to simplify their recruiting process. The platform features a clean and intuitive layout that makes creating job postings and tracking applicants fast and hassle-free. One of the best parts is that NinjaGig automatically shares our job listings across all the major job boards for free, which greatly increases the reach and visibility of our open positions.
What I Like
One of the standout features of NinjaGig, which Wizehire does not have, is its modern and user-friendly layout. And with NinjaGig, job applications are delivered directly to a single dashboard, making it much easier to stay organized and manage everything in one place.
I also like the tagging feature, which NinjaGig shares with Wizehire. This allows us to categorize candidates by skills, roles, or any other criteria we consider important, helping us quickly identify the best matches for each position.
One thing I appreciate about both NinjaGig and Wizehire is their one-click job board posting. With just a single action, your job listings are automatically shared to hundreds of online job boards, saving a lot of time and effort. NinjaGig, in particular, does a great job of pushing your postings to major platforms like Indeed, Monster, Jooble, Google Jobs, and many others, helping you reach a wide pool of potential candidates with minimal hassle.
What I Don’t Like
When it comes to reporting, both NinjaGig and Wizehire offer fairly basic analytics that don’t go very deep or provide much detailed insight. Another limitation is that neither platform integrates particularly well with other HR tools or third-party software, which can make it harder to automate your workflow and keep everything connected. As our company continues to grow, we may eventually need more advanced data, like time-to-hire or candidate quality metrics. Unfortunately, those kinds of detailed reporting features aren’t currently available on either platform.
NinjaGig doesn’t include a full set of employee onboarding tools, which is something Wizehire does offer. Having built-in onboarding features can be incredibly helpful, especially when you want to get a new team member up and running as smoothly and quickly as possible. With Wizehire, that process is a bit more streamlined, giving you a head start on setting your new hire up for success from day one.
The Price
NinjaGig is flat priced at $49 per month, and the pricing is straightforward and all-inclusive. There are no surprise fees, and you can post unlimited jobs and receive unlimited applications without any extra charges. This is especially valuable when you compare it to other platforms that often charge by the job posting. For businesses in industries where turnover tends to be higher or where frequent hiring is the norm, this kind of predictable and flexible pricing makes NinjaGig a practical and cost-effective choice. It is a less expensive and comparable option to Wizehire.
Summary
All in all, if you’re looking for a simple, budget-friendly alternative to Wizehire, NinjaGig is a strong option to consider. It offers an easy-to-use interface, unlimited job postings and applications, and great visibility across major job boards at a flat monthly price. While it doesn’t offer advanced reporting or onboarding features like Wizehire, it covers the essentials well and keeps the hiring process organized and efficient. For small businesses or those with frequent hiring needs, NinjaGig strikes a great balance between functionality and affordability.
ZipRecruiter
ZipRecruiter is an online job marketplace that helps connect employers with the right candidates and makes it easy to post jobs, manage incoming applications, and browse through a large resume database to find qualified talent quickly.
What I Like
ZipRecruiter has a huge network of both employers and job seekers, which means your job postings get seen by a wide and diverse audience. Similar to Wizehire, it offers access to its own built-in resume database and also connects with other major platforms to help source candidates more effectively. One of the standout features is its AI-powered matching, which works behind the scenes to pair your job openings with the most relevant candidates. This not only helps you reach top talent more quickly, but also saves you time by cutting down on the manual work of sorting through less relevant applications.
What I Don’t Like
ZipRecruiter has a few downsides to keep in mind. The job search results can be overly broad, making it harder to zero in on exactly what you’re looking for. On the employer side, the quality of candidates isn’t always consistent, which can lead to extra time spent sorting through applications. Additionally, users have reported receiving a high volume of advertising emails and job alerts, which can feel overwhelming. There have also been occasional concerns about spam or scam job postings slipping through, which may affect the overall trust in the platform. Their pricing also can feel a bit steep, especially for small businesses or those on a tight hiring budget.
The Price
Just like Wizehire, ZipRecruiter has a transparent pricing model with no hidden fees. Their pricing is subscription-based, with options starting from a monthly fee. ZipRecruiter stands out for its clear, upfront pricing model with no surprises or hidden fees, which is always a plus for businesses keeping an eye on their budget.
They offer three flexible pricing tiers. The Standard plan is great for businesses looking to hire efficiently without breaking the bank. You’ll get access to a smart, easy-to-use dashboard and the ability to send your job to over 100 job boards with just one click. ZipRecruiter’s AI technology also helps match your job with the right candidates automatically. Best of all, you can try it out for free.
If you’re trying to fill a more challenging role, the Premium plan offers all the Standard features, plus access to ZipRecruiter’s massive resume database and the ability to sponsor your job listings. Sponsored jobs typically receive six times more applicants than organic listings, giving you a stronger chance of finding that perfect fit. This wide database is not available with Wizehire.
For companies that have a lot of positions to post, the Pro plan includes everything from the other tiers and adds TrafficBoost to give your urgent or hard-to-fill jobs an extra push. It also includes seamless integration with several applicant tracking systems to help streamline your entire hiring process.
Summary
ZipRecruiter is a popular online job marketplace that makes it easy for employers to connect with qualified candidates. Like Wizehire, it offers a simple way to post jobs and manage applications. One of its standout features is searching from a large resume database and AI-powered matching, which helps surface strong candidates quickly to save time and improve hiring results. It also gives your job listings wide exposure thanks to its large network of job seekers and partner job boards. Overall, it’s a robust solution with flexible options for different hiring needs.
Zoho Recruit
Zoho Recruit brings together a strong applicant tracking system (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) features into one easy-to-use platform. It’s built to grow with your team and gives you plenty of flexibility to customize things the way you need. Whether you’re part of a staffing agency or an in-house HR team, Zoho Recruit has all the tools to help you find the right candidate for the right position..
What I Like
Zoho Recruit really helps streamline the hiring process by solving common pain points like scattered applicant info, confusing communication, and a general lack of visibility into where things stand. It brings everything together in one place, which makes managing candidates so much easier and more efficient. Some of my favorite features include the ability to post to multiple job boards, built-in tools for sourcing candidates, detailed applicant tracking, interview scheduling, customizable workflows, team collaboration options, and useful analytics to help you make informed decisions.
One thing that stands out is how flexible Zoho Recruit is when it comes to job board integrations, similar to what Wizehire offers. If you want to boost visibility, there’s also the option to post on premium or sponsored boards, helping your listings stand out and reach a wider, more qualified pool of applicants.
What I Don’t Like
One thing to keep in mind with Zoho Recruit is that it doesn’t automatically push your job listings out to multiple boards, like the way Wizehire does it with one click. Instead, you’ll need to pick the job boards that make the most sense for your hiring needs and post to each one manually. This means a little extra work to make sure you’re getting in front of the right candidates.
Also, Zoho Recruit isn’t exactly plug-and-play. It’s packed with features and customization options, but that also means the setup can feel a bit complex at first. There’s a learning curve, and you might need someone to really dig in and manage the setup process if you want to unlock its full potential. So if you’re looking for something super quick and easy to get rolling with, this platform might take a little more time and patience to get comfortable with.
The Price
Zoho Recruit offers flexible pricing plans designed to grow with your hiring needs. The Forever Free plan is a solid starting point, giving you access to one active job posting along with essential tools like candidate management, email management, interview scheduling, and weekday customer support.
For teams ready to scale, the Standard plan is priced at $25 per user/month. It includes up to 100 active jobs, candidate sourcing tools, access to premium job boards, social recruiting, resume and applicant tracking, a talent pipeline, standard analytics, and over 50 integrations.
The Professional plan, at $50 per user/month, ramps things up with 250 active jobs, AI-powered candidate matching, advanced analytics, custom dashboards, candidate portals, pre-screening and assessments, and expanded security controls like assignment rules and SMS/phone integrations.
At the top tier, the Enterprise plan offers maximum customization for $75 per user/month. It allows up to 750 active jobs and includes robust features like custom roles and functions, client and staffing portals, layout rules, territory management, auto responders, and integrations with Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
Just like Wizehire, Zoho Recruit offers add-ons at an additional cost, in the form of additional features or services, that can be included in their pricing plans. These add-ons can enhance the core functionality of the ATS and cater to specific needs of business.
Summary
Zoho Recruit is a versatile hiring platform that blends applicant tracking and CRM tools into one flexible, user-friendly system. Designed for both staffing agencies and internal HR teams, it simplifies the recruiting process by centralizing candidate information, streamlining communication, and offering customizable workflows. Standout features include multi-job board posting, resume parsing, interview scheduling, and detailed analytics.
Final Thoughts
Hiring shouldn’t feel like a full-time job on top of your full-time job. Whether you’re a small business owner, a growing HR team, or part of a staffing agency, finding the right applicant tracking system can completely change how you hire for the better. Wizehire is a great starting point, especially if you want a mix of smart tools and human support.
But depending on your needs, platforms like NinjaGig, ZipRecruiter, and Zoho Recruit each offer their own unique strengths, from affordability to AI matching to advanced customization. The key is to choose a system that works for you, not one that adds to your stress. With the right ATS, hiring can finally feel like the exciting opportunity it’s meant to be.
