Instapage is a simple landing page builder allowing you to easily create eye-catching landing pages and sales funnels, even for beginners. However, if Instapage is not for you, you can read my Instapage alternatives guide instead!

Having created websites and landing pages over the years, I’ve tried many different website builders. I’ve found some excellent tools, but I’ve also had to deal with some difficult, clunky platforms.

Why is Instapage Not Always the Best Solution?

Some of the top reasons operators might consider alternatives to Instapage include the following (in order of commonality):

  • High pricing: Instapage is often considered expensive compared to other landing page builders in the market, forcing users to look for affordable alternatives.
  • Limited customization options: I find the customization options in Instapage somewhat restrictive, which can limit design creativity.
  • Lack of built-in email marketing tools: Instapage lacks built-in email marketing tools, which means users have to integrate with other platforms for this functionality.
  • Lack of robust analytics: Users often look for alternatives due to Instapage’s limited analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • No true blog functionality: Instapage does not offer a blogging platform (even if it integrates with a particular CMS), this is an extra step for some marketers.
  • Limited A/B testing: The A/B testing features on Instapage could be more robust compared to peers.
  • Limited integration: Instapage may not integrate with every tool users need, causing them to look for alternatives.

The following alternatives to Instapage are helpful, simple platforms designed to make creating a landing page much more straightforward. We’ll look at their page builders, templates, extra tools, and price plans.

If you want to know which one I like the best, read the next section first, and keep reading to learn more about the best Instapage Alternatives.

I also like Landingi; it has a free plan, which is excellent for beginners. Plus, it has some good templates.

Unbounce is a landing page builder designed to improve conversion rates. It’s super easy to use and utilizes AI to make it easier to create high-performing landing pages.

UX/UI

The onboarding process is simple, and the UI is easy to navigate. The page builder is simple, especially if you choose the Smart Builder. In my opinion, Unbounce is one of the more accessible platforms to use.

Unbounce Templates

There is a range of templates to choose from. Using the Classic Builder, you can see an overview of the templates:

Unbounce Templates

These can be filtered by page type (for example, event, ebook, seminar, lead generation, and so on). The templates are easy to navigate from a visitor’s perspective.

If you use the Smart Builder, you’ll be able to input some information to narrow down the template search:

Some of the templates are particularly eye-catching (like the example above), all with clear information, CTA buttons, and testimonials.

Unbounce Page Builder Experience

The Classic Builder feels quite old-school; it’s a little more cluttered than the Smart Builder, but it does have all the tools you need to build a good landing page.

As you can see, it is a little overwhelming to look at. Still, it offers advanced customization, perfect if you want complete control over your landing page.

The Smart Builder is different:

You can add sections like text, headlines, images, and buttons. It’s stripped-back compared to the Classic Builder but still good for customization.

I’d recommend clicking on the ‘Conversions’ tab, which allows you to track conversion rates for each of your CTAs. This will let you see how well they’re performing, allowing you to tweak them if necessary.

Extra Tools

Unbounce offers some extra tools, including sticky bar sand pop-ups. They’re easy to make and designed to match the feel of your landing page without being too intrusive.

These tools are optimized for mobile too, which is excellent from your visitor’s perspective.

Unbounce Pricing

There are four price tiers on Unbounce:

There is no free plan, and it’s one of the pricier options on the list. However, the price is worth the fact that the pages are specifically designed to increase conversion rates. You can read more on their pricing page.

Here’s what I think about Unbounce:

Pros

  • Designed to maximize conversion rates
  • Tools to create pop-ups and sticky bars

You can also adjust the CSS. If you have the skills, you’ll have the option to customize your page even further.

Extra Tools

Leadpages has a few tools designed to improve conversion rates; for example, you can create an alert bar to capture email addresses quickly.

    Pros and Cons of Landingi

Here’s what I thought of Landingi:

How to Find a Good Landing Page Builder

    Page Builder

Here are a few key features you should look for when trying out landing page builders:

    Templates

Having a browse through the templates is a helpful thing to do. Even if you want to build your page from scratch, this should give you an idea of the page builder’s capabilities.

Look for a page builder with a range of templates for different purposes. They should be bright, eye-catching, and easy to navigate, with a clear call to action right up front.

    Page Builder

Look for a customizable page builder that will allow you to add all the content you need for a landing page, including:

    • Text
    • Images
    • Videos
    • Testimonials
    • Forms
    • CTA buttons
    • Headings

    Ease of Use

Some page builders are super easy: you just have to input some information, and the page will be almost assembled, especially if that page builder uses AI copywriting.

Others are more complex to use but should offer help and tutorials for new users.

Look for a page builder with a clean AI, too, which makes it easier to find everything you’re looking for.

    Extra Features

    Page Builder

Look for additional features to include conversion rates, like:

    • Form builders
    • Pop-up and alert bar creators
    • Split testing
    • In-depth analytics

    Price Plans

Your budget may well dictate which platform you go for. Some page builders are free, but you have to use the landing page branding; others are pricier but offer a range of valuable tools.

    FAQs

Question: How are landing pages different than regular websites?

Answer: The main difference is the size: websites usually have several sub-pages, whereas landing pages are simple and stripped-back. Landing pages are designed to lead viewers to a CTA, like a form or a button.

Landing pages are perfect for events, webinars, online courses, and selling digital products.

Question: What should I include on my landing page?

Answer: Of course, it depends on what you want the result to be. For example, if you’re selling a digital product, you should include images, a simple product summary, some information about the creator, and testimonials. Plus, of course, a clear and easy-to-find button allowing people to make a purchase.

Generally, a clear CTA, images, and short, snappy text are good to include on landing pages.

Question: What can I use captured email addresses for?

Answer: Email marketing is excellent for promoting your product, service, or event.

Any captured leads from your landing page can be used to advertise promotions, sales, or new products. You could also set up an email newsletter, which creates a sense of familiarity between you and your clients or customers.

Best Instapage Alternatives Guide: To Sum Up …

My preferred option is Unbounce. The Smart Builder, in particular, is excellent. The templates are designed to increase conversion rates, and you can check on the individual performance of each CTA on your page.

However, if you’re on a tight budget, you can check out Landingi, which is easy to use and has some great templates!
